Submission Guidelines

We accept submissions from local photographers (including non-Boholanos but are currently based in Bohol). Please send your photos to ryanmacalandag99d@yahoo.com for review. We judge photos for posting by quality and relevance. We also accept photo essays and feature articles.

1. Who can submit photos? Boholano photographers or photographers currently residing/working in Bohol.

2. Categories. Photo Essays, News and Events, Travel, Nature, People, Portraits, Fashion

3. Technical Details

• JPEG only
• minimum 680 pixels
• 72 dpi
• optimal quality compression (at least 60%)

4. Captions, Write-ups and Details. Submitting a caption/write-up/remarks/article together with the photo is a must. Also include:

• Name of Photographer
• Location
• Credits (assistants, hair/make-up, director, model/artist, etc.)
  

5. Can I edit my photos? Of course, but do it sparingly. We only accept minimal editing (exposure, sharpness, color grading, color toning, bw, HDR). Please refrain from putting frames or borders. Don't submit cheeky photos.

6. Can I submit URL of online photos? Sure. We highly recommend that you upload your photos through flickr.com to make posting easier for us.

7. Who will own submitted photos? Ownership of submitted photos will never transfer to span Bohol Photo Blog. Copyrights will still remain with original owners.

So far, these are the guidelines that should matter - for now. We will add more as we progress.
